2018 SUMMER SLAM DAY CAMP
FUN TIMES ALL SUMMER LONG
Starts the week of May 29th
A one time $50 registration fee is required at the time of submitting your registration per family.
In order to register for our day camp, each child must attend a minimum of 2 weeks either full
or part time. Camp fees must be paid in advance of attending and in two week increments.
Please select all weeks you plan on attending below. If you are attending part time, you must
attend a minimum of 3 days a week. Our Summer Camp will start the week of May 29th (Tuesday)
and end on August 3rd
Camp Options 9 a.m.—3 p.m.— $115 per week per child
7:30 a.m.—5:30 p.m.—$130 per week per child
Part time campers—$35 per day, 3 day minimum per week
*$5 discount will be given to families with 2 or more campers FULL TIME ONLY!
*There will be a $1.00 late fee for every 5 minutes past pickup

I am excited to spend the week with you developing and enhancing your
basketball skills. The ultimate goal for the week is to help you become a
better basketball player. It will be an intense week of camp and the effort
you put forth will determine the value of your experience. You will have
an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills from collegiate and
professional athletes. Maybe even get an autograph or two! Additional
coaching staff will consist of current and former coaches. I encourage
you to sign up as soon as possible due to limited spots available. I look
forward to seeing you on June 20th ready to play some basketball.

Striker Camp for Boys & Girls

There is a striker in each and every one of us!
Who doesn’t want to see the ball hit the back of the net!?
The UOW Striker Camp will give all players, forwards, midfielders and defenders experience at
going to goal. Players will practice shooting at different angles, distances and under varying types
of pressure. Our experienced, highly qualified coaches will introduce players to multiple striking
techniques working on placement vs power.

Coach Ken Shields Basketball
Camp for Boys & Girls
July 16, 17, 18 & 19th
Camp Director, Ken Shields, is a Northern Kentucky native with almost 5
0 years in the sport & 766 career basketball wins. The former NKU Head
Coach twice guided teams to the NCAA Championship game (96 & 97)
and he was the National Coach of the Year in 1994-95. His dedication
to teaching and his ability to teach life-lessons through his basketball
related stories is well-known., especially in the “Club House”.
2018 LIL’ Dribblers Basketball
Skills Camp for 1st through 4th graders
July 23, 24, 25 & 26th
This camp is designed to teach the basic skills and fundamentals
of basketball. Great for Players ages 5 – 9.
Camp times are 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. each of the 4 days

Basketball Shooting Camp
for Boys & Girls
December 26, 27 & 28th
In deciding whether to sign your child up for this camp, please consider our goal
is to provide an environment where interested children improve their skill level
through the combination of fun, quality instruction, practice and games. The
name of the camp is “The Ken Shields Holiday Shooting Camp”,
but expect Life Skills” to be included because this is more than the normal
basketball camp. It will be a unique experience for your child and one they

opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction
on the fundamental skills of volleyball. Campers will be made aware
of the characteristics that define successful players. Organized
games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after
specific drills have been practiced. Contests built into drills
capture the learner’s attention, which results in attentive practice.
Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing
good habits in all aspects of the game. General courtesy, respect for
teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be
taught to the campers through example by the camp staff.
