Get Fit Youth Performance Training Flyer

The Get Fit youth program offers training for children of all ages, regardless of gender, skill levels, or athletic/fitness goals.  The dynamic training system focuses on discovering the athlete’s weakest link by a functional movement evaluation showing the participants most significant asymmetry and/or dysfunction.  Once evaluated the goal is it execute corrective exercise strategies to improve the function of fundamental movement patterns within the athlete.  The curriculum will then continually progress the participants through a “flow” of functional progressions that will give the participant the ability to exceed the needs of their sport.

Get Fit 1 (Ages 9-12) This is a critical time to establish proper athletic movement.  The body and mind are eager for new information and ready to ingrain new movement patterns.  The FIT 1 program is conducted in 45-60 minute sessions and designed to introduce and create the base of overall athletic movement in a fun, upbeat, rewarding environment.  Emphasis is placed on proper running technique, athletic agility, balance and core stability and the basic introduction of essential muscular movement patterns.  These are highly important in establishing one athletic base for peak performance, injury prevention and long-term enjoyment of sports participation. Each training will be limited to 8 max participants.

Get Fit 2 (Ages 13-15)   This program focuses on maintaining and progressing athletic movement while fine tuning and ingraining proper fundamental skills of agility, speed and power.  The process of athletic movement applied towards athletic skills application takes place during this age range.  The proper repetition of athletic movement combined with athletic skills application leads to permanent and positive athletic change.  The FIT 2 Program is conducted in 60 minute sessions filled with strength, speed and power training that provide benefits in several ways; first – proper movement techniques with increased force production lead to maximized potential, secondly – as an athlete naturally increases in height, weight, strength and aggressiveness, the need for improved joint integrity is critical for reducing the chance of injury. Each training will be limited to 8 max participants.

Get Fit 3 (Ages 16-20) Neuromuscular patterns and the fundamental skills of speed, agility and power are developed for most athletes within this age group.  This program focuses on combining repeated athletic movement and skill within the framework of the sports demands to create mastery.  Taking the general concepts of the FIT program athletes are introduced to a “peak and valley” athletic training schedule, closely resembling a typical college training schedule. Athletes that complete this program will be at the TOP of their game.  The Fit 3 program is conducted in 60-75 minute sessions. Each training will be limited to 6 participants.
